Surprise of the Day: Tunze Osmolator 2

Was looking into an ATO for upcoming frag tank and came across review of a new and changed Tunze Osmolator. Never thought it would change! Maybe that explains why Osmolator seems to be out of stock on many websites. Or supply chain issue?

Not sure I like it, they went from a "sump pump" to a more conventional style of pump. Which means that last you have to keep your ATO filled that much more for it to work properly.

Not to mention it was crazy noisy in a glass ATO if it contacted the glass in any way. I love my Duetto's

I’m hopeful they did a good job with it. But I have a nagging feeling they just made it more like the other newer entries into this niche (of which there are now plenty) and will lose the tried-and-true reputation they had earned over the years.

Agree it’s too noisy when touching a hard surface (as designed). But I have mine in the garage pump through the wall to where my tank is. I put my other noisy equipment like DOS pumps in there too.
