Well in the Phillipines a 9" clam is worth about 58 cents, taste good with some butter and garlic

It looked like a Squamosa to me. IIRC, Derasa clams have a smooth shell.

very good sign if the shrimp made it! sometimes those things can die if you look at them funny when moving them to new environment.
Its a squamosa, is the shells 9 inches long or including the Mantle? I may want to buy it......store would sell that size before for like $150 to $200 depending on the color. Haven't seen them available in that size for a while. I maybe interested in trade or sale. I have lots of stuff available - let me know what you are looking for.
