All is good down there, mom is still stuck, but there are way worse places to be trapped, there's booze, good food, and incredibly friendly people. It's a testament to good planning, the power was back on in 45 min, water never stopped flowing all of the buildings except a few are still sound. It's the media looking to hype things, even in Conception things aren't too bad considering the earthquake was an 8.8, again Chile is a country that plans ahead and has tons of money (prolly way more than the US currently, our GDP may be higher, but they are smarter...), so everything has been in place for a disaster for a long time. This is a country that had a 9.5 in 1960 :O
