From yesterday, tank looks great! Shocked your copperband doesn't murder the Christmas tree worms.
Thanks for taking the picture and updating my journal for me! I should have you over more often Lol. My water yesterday definitely had quite a bit more micro bubbles and particulates in it that I wanted. I forgot about my ATO like usual and the return chamber was low for most of the day lol

Decided to switch my Apex+Trident to my main display as I feel comfortable enough with my frag tank that I don't need the auto testing. Makes more sense to have this level of monitoring for the 225 while I get it back to former glory (or hopefully greater). Using ABC reagents over Neptune reagents cause cheaper. Just got it calibrated.
Tank parameters currently:
Alk 8.1
Cal: 459
Mag: 1330
No3: 13.9 (glad my nitrates came up as it was testing at 2.0-4.0 for awhile after the algae scrubber was fully eatablished)
Po4: over 0.90 (been slacking every few days and skipping a dose or 2 of LaCl into the skimmer) will continue to work on bringing this down but for now it doesnt seem to be having and bad effects on any of the corala I've added in recently.

Today turned into quite the reefing day. Planned on just changing out a gate valve that was leaking and add another A8SE light.

Once I finished the gate valve replacement and tried to turn on my return pump again I got an er05 and then return pump controller powered off and wouldn't power back on again. Power brick light didn't light up anymore. Luckily Eric had the same exact pump from his old 100gal tank. Had him plug in the power brick and make sure the light came on before I made the trek. Drove over to SJ to get it, get home, plug it in and er04 first when trying to run it with his pump, which says that the pump motor is stuck or has excessive mechanical resistance. Open the pump up, clean it a bit, put it back together and make sure the impeller spins easily. Check!

Plug it in...spin up then Er05. And continued to give Er05 every attempt. Got out my multimeter, power brick shows 24v output. Plug it into controller, er05 then unplug and check power brick output 1-2v.

Panicking now at how I'm gonna get my tank running again today I go digging through all my reefing stuff and I remember I have a DCP-5000 spare for my low boy frag tank.

Had to run to the store to get 1.5in unions (bought 2 so that I can easily go back to 1.5in when I replace the DCP-5000 with a properly sized pump later this week) and 1.5-1.25 reduce and some 1.25 pvc.

Quickly plumb in my DCP-5000 and give the PVC cement and bit of time to cure. Then get the tank running again. What should've been only 1-2hrs took me all day.
