Love that grown in look of an older tank! Plus it's good to show new reefers that you can grow any type of coral even with "older" lighting, not just the latest and greatest.

Thanks! This pales in comparison to some of the mature tanks from many years ago. Check out SeminoleCPA if the old threads are still around.

It’s a super fancy plastic box from Daiso
Also in that box is a 15+ year old jawbreaker and probably 20-30 smallish ones. The colors are pretty insane.

My recommendations to any reefers…
New isn’t always better
Stability is better than numbers so don’t chase them
Don’t waste your money on premium salts
Buy decent equipment particularly if of the electrical variety
Do your water changes…Even though this tank is on a 6-8 week water change schedule, everything looks better after a WC!
And don’t buy named crap, but yes everything in this tank has a name. I just don’t remember them!

What’s likely to be the last shot of the tank before it comes down. What a 10+ year run and a big “Thank You!” to the many of you who contributed and made it a fun run!

It’s a big TBD. If the right tank were to show up, some inhabitants would move in and some wouldn’t make the cut. The other tank is all LPS and so far, those haven’t been kind to my anemones.
