1 fighting conch.

Also would like to add I didn’t get diatom blooms initial start, just crazy hair algae. So I think this maybe diatoms bloom( ugly stage). What do you guys think. About 2 months mark.

Looking back at my old tank journals, I’m inspired by the Rsr350 build: torches top, lps mixed bottom. Since current build is im25 won’t be a lot of torches/ hammers. Hopefully this time less work cus it’s a smaller tank. Rsr350 was technically a mixed reef but seem torch dominated :) it was fun for a while but was ALOT of work.

Day 1 blackout , looking to end Wednesday maybe Thursday depending on how it looks. Already order some live bacteria from Nathan, Coral Hub and phyto.

Day 2 blackout
-no visible dinos.
Confirmed with microscope I’ve bought on Amazon it’s ostreopsis. Typical tear drop spinning in circle. Uv sterlizer just arrived and installed. Waiting on some live bacteria and phyto from coral hub.
Goal: lights on Thursday morning

$9.49 and arrive next day. Works great for the job. 1 AA battery power. Comes with slides with samples, ok just use the non sample side. Hard to focus , if hold on it focus better. Actually pretty good for saltwater reefing needs, for the price and delivery speed. Same view as a $200 microscope.

Uv sterlizer taken off, dosed live bacteria and live phyto from CoralHub. The live bacteria is the real deal! Highly pungent meaning it’s the good stuff. Follow recommended dosing hopefully seed the tank to out compete the dinos. Definitely recommend CoralHub live bacteria and phyto. Will be buying more in future.
Also dosed silicates , neo phos&neo nitrates to increase nutrients. No water change for a while until see diatom bloom.
