im super tempted to delay cycling a few days, and add a 20long sump/refugium.

buy a eshopps eclipse S, drill the tank, jeboa dcp 250 return.

I built my past sump. just gotta run to Lowes to have some glass cut.

it makes everything so much easier to fit, skimmer, ato. and gives me a play for macros and bad hitchhikers

my only hang up is the cost, itll be about $250

forget going out to Lowe's. i have a laser cutter and some acrylic. im going to design and cut my own baffles this morning. gonna do a 5 baffle system like my previous tank with a nice fuge in the middle.

already did a test piece to make sure my k40 is still working since I hadn't touched it in several years

might have been a little premature but I stopped by islander coral today in fairfield and picked up 2 zoa frags. blue hornets which haven't opened back up yet and some crazy pink rimmed.

tomorrow the tank goes in for surgery and gets its sump/refugium added

Zoas and softies are pretty tough actually a good first choice with the exception of some of the more finicky expensive zoas. Some of those can melt on you over night.

Zoas, leather corals and easy mushrooms are all good first choices. Than lps.
