Hello everyone!

I recently purchased @FreahSaltyGuy amazing tank! I am looking forward to being apart of such a great community and to continue having this beautiful tank thrive. I had a much smaller 75 gallon tank in the past and unfortunately had to sell it when I moved a few years back. I had no one to talk to or learn from so it was definitely a journey trying to learn everything I needed to know on my own. I had some ups and downs, but loved the thought of having a slice of the ocean in my home. Thankfully I was able to purchase a house recently and finally became established with thought of jumping back into the hobby one day once everything gets settled. I was hesitant into getting back into saltwater, thinking that freshwater was easier, until I went to the fish store and could not deny the calling of the ocean hahahaha. I happened to come across FreahSatlyGuy's tank and as soon I saw it in person, I knew it was the one. It even had almost all the same livestock I had in my old tank (great minds think alike eh?), along with some fish and euphyllia corals I always wanted. He raved about this site and I'm so happy to find such a helpful place, I can't wait to get started! I'm already dreaming of all the amazing corals I can one day fill the tank with, especially torches which are my favorite. I will defiantly need some help to get back into the swing of things as it's been a few years, but am ready to dedicate myself and make sure this tank gets the loving care it deserves!

Welcome!! Congrats on the house and good luck with your reef :)

There’s an upcoming frag swap on the 23rd, where you can chat with other reefers and nab some easier corals if the tank is ready. We’ll give you some corals to enter if you want to participate :)
Thank you! Oh wow thats so awesome, yeah read the thread about it but was sad I didn't know or have anything I could bring. I'm so bummed because I might actually be in Pismo that weekend, of all the times my friends planned a trip smh. Looking forward to definitely coming to other events and meeting fellow reefers!

Welcome, Cute cat!

Its truly an awesome community, you'll meet some very generous and helpful people!

Welcome to the club @Bigfish ! Highly recommend getting a tank journal going (will be easy to copy @FreahSaltyGuy 's!) Also feel free to spitball ideas on here before making purchases since someone usually has extra stuff or can save you some $ or headaches by guiding you in the right direction.
Yes! thank you, I was actually really thinking about writing down everything he was already doing including his maintenance schedule, dosing etc... I'm really excited to learn as much as I can to keep everything in tip top shape!

Welcome! What's your plan to get it moved? The club has some equipment that will help the process like suction cup handles and many members have equipment you can borrow too (stock tank, dollies, etc). Check out @SupraSaltyReefer breakdown guide https://www.bareefers.org/forum/threads/abc-aquarium-breakdown-checklist.35860/
Thank you for the great resource I will definitely check it out, we will be moving this Saturday morning. I bought 7 big bins from Costco and thankfully FreahSaltyGuy has some furniture dollies already. Really makes me happy I got the long bed for my truck! hahaha. Thankfully I live really close only about 4 mins away so not too far of a journey, planning on getting some bubblers for the fish and a few moving blankets as well.
