Good morning, I'm a new supporting member and this is my first post. I apologize in advance if I'm not posting this in the correct place. I live in Corral De Tierra near Monterey and I'm in desperate need of someone willing to help me try to treat my powder blue tang. He's been fighting ich for 2 weeks. He's a fighter and he wants to live. He's been eating every day but he's not getting better. I've tried all the tricks. I've been using Kordon's reef safe ich treatment for weeks. He really needs a treatment tank that is set up and ready. If you live in Monterey County and are willing to help me, could you please reach out at your earliest convenience? We are desperate. Thank you so much. mvronconi@gmail.com

Good morning, and welcome.

My wife and I went through an ich outbreak in our 90 gallon. It was quite the heartbreak to be honest. In your treatment have you used Polyplab Medic? This was recommended to us by LFS, and it did work. But we did some other things as well. We raised the tank temp to 80*, and also started mixing Selcon, and Garlic Guard into the fish's food. We have been ich free for some time now. The Polyplab is a 60 or 90 day treatment cycle, it isn't instant. But for us it worked without having to fallow our tank.

I wish you the best of luck in finding someone local to you. If you need to borrow a small tank drop me a PM. My sister is in Gonzales and has a bunch of 10 gallons sitting in her garage.

Thank you so much for the kind and thoughtful message. I really appreciate it. I just bought the Polyplab Medic and it will be here tomorrow. It's worth a shot. I'm also trying to get a treatment tank set up today so I can do that as well. Thank you again for taking the time to reach out.
