Hey Bar
Figured I would add to this thread with my story about debugging "Test B Fail".
I moved to Vegas and didn't have my Trident working for close to a year. When I booted it up, I expected to have to flush some lines with RODI. If you look closely, you can find the lines that are the tank intake, the waste output, and each of the 3 reagents; the tubes are stopped by solenoids and then run into a common manifold in the middle. The top part is the peristaltic pump. See below.
I was able to depress the solenoid valve on each reagent tube, and then both the inlet and the outlet and the flush the metal tube of the reagent inlets with RODI and a syringe. Once I got a good flushing of RODI through all combinations of tube, I restarted the Trident, and ran a combined test, which had one failed A and failed C, likely from RO in all of the lines. Then the next combined test worked and I am back up and running.
All in all, I really like the Trident and have been able to debug it every time myself.
I made the switch to bulk ABC reagents a bit ago and while there was some initial difference in numbers, the trends all followed and made sense and I have been going strong, even with the garage cooked reagents.
I do see that they have a refurbishment program now but if one uses the Trident properly, I feel like the unit should work for years without the need of any refurb. Happy to help answer any questions here.
How are people liking their Tridents?
