Was just checking on the tank with the lights out and did a doubletake at the filefish's preferred hideout. :)

Sounds like the same thing I did when I added some chromis to my tank. It took less then an hour for a bunch them to sleep/hide in the coral. Here's a shot about 15min. after the MH turned on.

sooo cuuuute!

I guess hanging on to a coral with his teeth so he doesn't float away has to suffice since I don't have anything branchy (or large) enough to hide in... and he's still hangin on as I type this. :)

Wow. I didn't realize he was hanging on with his teeth. Too cool!

Just a question -isn't that a Toby (Canthigaster valentini?), not a filefish?

Easy guide to telling the diff:

Filefish has triggerfish-style fins along the back/bottom, in long rows. Puffer has little paddle-style fins instead.
