Unknowen bug?

I found this on my candy kane coral, and I am not sure what it is? Any ideas?

hard to tell in the pic, but I think I see a harmless feather duster and one of those annoying worms. both harmless.

Thanks Tony. This is actually my first Coral so I am still trying to figure these things out. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't some bug that can kill it.

For me those things seem to irritate my coral. I just seal the hole with some superglue.

Yeah that looks like one of those 'worms'. They make a hard crusty tube that they let their sweeper out from to catch food. I've never noticed they irritate anything in my tank.... but me

How would I remove it? Can I just pull it off? Will I have to treat the coral afterwords?

I usually just scrape them off if I don't like where they ended up.

lol i just love how many of you use superglue for so many things in your tanks! so helpful! is that the fix-all for lots of problems? wouldnt superglue become toxic in seawater?

Superglue is fine. We just run into problems when we first tried ductaping everything in the reef.

I have seen those on other frags of those candy canes and they never harmed a thing, since you came over almost all of my other frags have grown a new head, so I am interested how that one is doing under PC's. Update the orginal DBTC thread with a pic of it in your tank please.
