Sorry to hear Erin. I remember watching him cruise in that tank and swim right up to your hand when I visited your place a few years back.
 
Sorry to hear! I remember seeing that fish to I think.

I have one or two fish that have been around for many years also, that I am attached to.
Unlike blue chromis for example...

I still have the purple tang that was in a display tank in my old store...
It’s over 17 now
and in a client’s tank I have an orange shoulder tang that is over 14

I wonder how old the longest lived ornamental aquarium fish has lasted?
(excluding koi)
 
ah man that is a bummer ! looks like he was fat and happy prior though.
i have an approx 17" xanthopterus that i wonder about. think he's about 8 yrs old and he "looks" young but not sure what young looks like
