Vinegar "fogging" for calcium removal?

Hi All,

I have a crazy idea. My 150 has a bit of buildup on it that will require a vinegar soak. However, it's on multiple sides and the tank is way too big to flip around. So, in lieu of lining with wet paper towels, I thought about "fogging" it with vinegar. I think a simple air pump placed in the correct way could keep the sides covered in a thin layer of vinegar if i seal the top with plastic wrap.

Thoughts?

Probably easier to use a spray bottle every half hour and keep in mind it's going to reek.

Periodically spraying with spray bottle or just wiping down with a cloth/paper towel would work well and be easier.
