Yes optimal coloration for WD is yellow/orange polyps with blue tips. That said, it is not uncommon to have a tank that turns many of the colorful SPS green. Lots of different theories on why and how to fix. That is how you fall into the SPS keeper rabbit hole! Come and join the party.I picked up this frag at one of our swaps several years ago. It grows fast and has started coloring up. Should the polyps be more yellow?

Thanks for your response. More than likely beyond my skill level. I might try increasing nitrates to 12 or 15 to see if it helps.Yes optimal coloration for WD is yellow/orange polyps with blue tips. Trace elements also have an impact. Do you add any? Do you do testing? Thanks for your response. More than likely beyond my skill level. I might try increasing nitrates to 12 or 15 to see if it helps.
Sounds like you are dosing trace elements with the Balling method, tried and true. I was way low on my trace dosage for a while doing this. The Ca and Alk solution should look blue after you have enough added. How much are you adding to each?Tropic Marin has an additive you mix with your Alk and one you mix with your Ca. I also dose their Part C.
I would like to see a pic of the tank, but if you are growing that acro that well, I would bias towards the higher end and maybe double up the trace elements you are using per unit volume.100 ml
