What’s Your Favorite Sand?

Looks like just freshwater river gravel from a landscape supply store. Did anything show up weird on an icp test or other?

Nope, it came from an ocean beach near me, I used it for years.
My main reason for switching back to a white sand was for more reflective light. That stuff is pretty dark. It does kind of look like fresh water gravel, but it is much finer

The Two Little Fishies 2-3mm sand is my favorite. Soft enough for burrowing snails and fish, coarse enough for real flow. It is what I am using in my 2 sand bottomed tanks.

Here is what the Aquaforest Biosand looks like. It is most white with some specs in various shades of brown.
