What type of coral could this be?

I was planning on bringing this coral but not sure of what it is... Lol

It is purple in color and looks like it covers the rock

Even I was thinking Mystic but I they normally have red base and blue polyps if I'm right? (this one is blue base, red polyp)

I am not seeing a different colored polyps...look to be the same color....

I was starting to think Mike @Enderturtle might be right as I look at encrusting montipora....

What do you guys think???

Sorry @Nav & @Coral reefer I thought when you said mystic that a different type of coral not that is a type of monti.....I didn't know....lol

too hard to tell colors from the picture.

There are a number of encrusting and plating montipora that come in different colors.

Mystic Sunset is a red base purple polyps encrusting montipora. I dont think jon has one unless this one is just unhappy right now? Browned out maybe?

I think I am just going to label this a purple encrusting montipora for the frag swap....

It has always been this way and has encrusted on this plug sense I had it so if its not happy at least it is still growing....:)
