Who to use for custom tanks?

Hi all,

I was looking to have a custom tank built with eur- bracing (aprox 48"x 30"x 24" -larger but not monstrous). I had been looking at CDA but apparently they closed up shop last year? Kinda glad I didn't go with them as the high appeal for me was the warranty -which would have been not so helpful for a company that does not exist. Wondering who everyone would recommend. Honestly the most important thing to me is build quality/not dumping 180 gallons on my floor at home. I am very familiar with ReefSavvy's build quality but I'm not super keen on the price and wait times. I have heard very -very- mixed reviews on glass cages. Any any all suggestions/experience would be super helpful.

Thanks,
Anthony

I got my 48”x24”x18” custom from Advanced Acrylics with build in external overflow. Museum polished edges look super nice

48L x 30D x 24T is about 143 gallons filled an inch within the top.. Filled to overflowing =149
If your thinking 180 gallons gotta go larger dimensions fyi

Cade makes one that is pretty close to that dimensions and I've heard great things about them. Agree with Advanced Acrylics if you are good with acrylic, and SCA and Waterbox.

That's basically the CADE 1200 dimensions, but they're not eurobraced. You'll get 114 gal if using the non peninsula. The 1500 is 143 gal at a foot longer (some space is used for the ATO). If you could eurobrace, I feel like it would be the perfect tank.

I've heard good things about planet also, but I don't know anyone locally that has one.

The big 10 footer at 7 stills was planet

I think SCA were bought out by another company, not sure if they do custom work anymore but looks like they have some tanks available herr:

Kinda weird that it's a billiard company.

My understanding is they were always owned by one company. But they merged them. When I contacted them in the past, they’ve always had the Billiards website in their email signature.

@TheLostReefs This is the contact info I have from them from May 2024, not sure if it’s still accurate but worth a try.
