This has been an issue for a long time. There are unfortunately plenty of people who speak badly of BAR. Some are still on here…ask yourself why if they don’t like it here…

I just like pestering you, is that so bad?

Also, this Will guy seems pretty selfish. He is hoarding the front page of the BAR web site with all the "BAR had this free XYZ coral for you". Geez, we get it. You are helping anyone who asks. Here I go and get my tanks clean, and take all these pictures to show off, just to have these free coral threads pushing my pictures on my tank journals down the threads so I am missing out on likes. Where are my internet likes?! This is the only reason I post here. Good job Will taking all the attention of doing to work of fragging coral and giving it away, leaving us picture posters to wish we had things to give away like you.

Also, way to make me jealous of the community that is in the Bay. Not much of that here in Vegas. There is a little, but not enough people with enough success and willing to share is my take on the community here.

Same people who have 20 post...15 requesting frags in dbtc and 5 in PIF or BST. Brings brown palys to the frag swap at ASAP and scoops the acans and acros.. It's inevitable...every community has them.

Sadly we've had those types for years...yet here we are, still around. One of the longest standing bay area reef clubs.

Gossip dies when it hits the ears of the wise..hence why we still have alot of our OGs on here from time to time still contributing to the community.

Regarding @Turkeysammich , I haven't had the pleasure to meet the guy, but it doesnt take an genius to see who sets up and stays till breakdown at frag swaps, facilitates tank breakdowns, volunteers to move tanks for people he don't know, and puts in the work for the community to benefit from generous member contributions.

This club runs on the backs of the people that put in the work. From physical labor, chiming in to a thread help someone with a problem, or even liking a new reefers post..we all can see who plays an active role when called upon.

People complaining need to ask themselves, what have they contributed to our community?

In all seriousness -I believe BOD officers past and present prob see about 97% of the complaints.


For 98% of the time I have seen enormous generosity in terms of donating time, corals, places to congregate, and very friendly people as a whole. Keep it up!
