It’s my dream wrasse. I just want a single healthy example. I’ve tried fully QTd, leaving him at the store for a week, and taking him straight out of the shippers box. All completely failures. This is kind of why I don't select specific fish to chase and rather go to the store and find a healthy fish that fits what I want.
Any LFS recommendations? I’ve tried CWA and HTA. I’m thinking I’ll try AC next.Try to find non Indo sourced Pseudocheilinops ataenia, Bali or Cebu would be a better choice.
Dream bigger, there are plenty of other fish in the sea. It’s my dream wrasse. I just want a single healthy example. I’ve tried fully QTd, leaving him at the store for a week, and taking him straight out of the shippers box. All completely failures.
None that will fit in my 40gal tank!Dream bigger, there are plenty of other fish in the sea.
A yellow coris wrasse would fit. Or maybe its time to upgrade to a 60 gallon.None that will fit in my 40gal tank!
A larger tank is in the plans! It’s not feasible for me right now with hiring slowdowns. As soon as I can swing it I will upgrade tanks.A yellow coris wrasse would fit. Or maybe its time to upgrade to a 60 gallon.
while its small it will. Not an adult yellow coris though, IMHO. They get 5-6" and are pretty active for a 40g foot print.A yellow coris wrasse would fit. Or maybe its time to upgrade to a 60 gallon.
They’re both my hardest fish to catch but I was thinking the same thing. I don’t think their brief aggression killed the second one or the first one but I can’t say for certain. If it was me, based on what I’ve read, the perch and gramma would have gone into two separate acclimation boxes, psw would have gone straight into the tank and been given several days to get comfy, then the perch and gramma would have been let out one at a time and observed. Either way, hope the third time’s a charm. Here’s my psw with his clown buddy
I could have gotten a bunch of cool, living coral for the cost of 3 dead fish… I think I’ll try again in a while from AC.Give it a break for awhile man. It’s just not meant to be right now. Maybe try again in a few months.
