Here is my tank now filled with water and fish are swapped over. My apex will not be set till tomorrow. Due to doing a quick run to l.a bit the essentials are plugged I’m super exited what I will be able to achieve with all this prime real estate.

Noooooooooooooo. Don’t say that. If it helps I like to quadruple verify. Since I get different readings from the miliwakee Salinity tester, Hanna checker, refractor meter, hydrometer and apex. Lol plus it’s the so cal new and improved one .01 accuracy if that helps. I just don’t know which to trust lol which one works for you. It’s funny after posting the pic I saw the hydro meter I was going to take it down but I was like eh. Guess that failed lol

Yeah bro we made this old tank into a better looking set up used to be a fresh water tank with only one overflow box. We made a second one and surprising after cutting each teeth individually it came out looking great, you’d think it came with 2 overflow boxes. We cut the top up to where we left a 3 inch lip all around, it used to only have a small opening at the top. We also used actual vinyl with a squiggy on bottom and top instead of painting it. I personally think that the blue pipes and white sump colors compliment the rest of the tank. I’m regretting that I didn’t paint the stand blow my which I might do later down the road. All ideas from Phil @payas0.

So apex is connected and so are the lights. Let the show begin! I’m pretty empressed with the light rail I created with aluminum extrusion and cable management. Im still deciding where to put my controller board it’s starting to become a rats nest rather quickly. I don’t know if I should start a mew tank build or change the name of this. Also Going to start a tank build for my kid’s tank.

Yeah working on getting more rock. And yes we went with that and it looks like it doing the job. But just in case it became an issue we can take out the piece with the union and add them later down the road.

I did something today…..

made an attempt at this nsa scape and I must say it’s harder than it looks. I used bsi liquid glue with some regular dry argonaut sand and boy it’s quick it’s instant. It just Trips me out how it starts smoking when you add the liquid glue to the sand. Haha. But yeah I will reenforce it with some emarco
