Rose’s 50 & 90g Tanks

The pocillopra that I have in the post #33, is that a Rainbow? This was one of the nice colonies @thesassyindian gave back in September but I thought it was labeled green.

Wait, @NickRoseSN1985 this is the frag I gave you?
Holy crap!

I was very surprised to see what I saw with the recent Triton ICP test I got back. The one that I'm confused about is that both tanks have over 600 Potassium. I use the Salifert Potassium test kit and dose DIY Potassium(found on R2R last year). The solution is 280g/gallon which 1ml brings up 10 gallons by 1ppm. The Salinity salt would mix up to 330ppm. I would do a corrective dose and tested and got 380-400ppm. Did the same thing with the tanks when I saw them low. I have ordered ATI ICP and a new Salifert test kit. We will see what the new test will show. Everything in the tank looks great. The only thing is that the rainbow monti a few months ago became dull. I finally tested potassium(since some people say low potassium can cause this) and noticed it showed 330ppm(this was before the ICP test).

Other then that everything looks good. I'm low on a few things. One of the low ones is Iodine. I do dose Kent marine Iodide .7ml/day to the 60 gallon and 1.3ml/day to the 90 gallon but I'm still reading low on the ICP test. Should I be using a different product or should I even dose iodine.

With the other low elements, should I do any dosing or just let it be with those. FYI I will be switching to Tropic Marine Salt. I think that’s all I have to say.....

Wrasses can get through the smallest of holes. I noticed that my Lubbocks Fairy Wrasse was missing this afternoon. He couldn’t have jumped out of the tank since it’s covered but I still looked behind the tank but nothing. Well today is changing socks day so I decided to take a look in the sock and there he was. The teeth for the overflow has a 10mm or less gap to the top of the tank top. He is hiding in the GSP right now. Hopefully he is ok and not injured. I did temporarily filled the gap with some airline tubing. Here is some pictures of the overflow teeth and the are where the socks are.

Decided to do a deep clean of the Nyos Quantum 160 skimmer on the main tank. It’s a good thing I did. Noticed some discoloration on the magnet and some on the inner wall. When I was cleaning the inner wall I could fill some type of possible crack or nick.

I’m guessing I should order a new pump?
