How do you do this? I want to check alk frequently but only when the lights are on. I could care less about b/c. If I could only test Alk that would be great. That’s a little high on the b and c. 4-1-1 per day. If I remember correctly. I hacked mine years ago. I only test A once a day and B and C once a week.
There's a pretty good thread on humble.fish that shows you how. I'm pretty sure @phatduckk wrote it.How do you do this? I want to check alk frequently but only when the lights are on. I could care less about b/c. If I could only test Alk that would be great.
I had that issue with some detritus that came off some live rock settling in the sump and getting into the line. I picked up a couple of these and haven't had a clog since. You know what would hella help. A small filter on the end of the pick up tube. Those passages are so easy to get cloggedView attachment 69138
This one comes with the kh carer. Never clogged.

All that would be needed is the mesh and fitting for the tube. If anyone needs the small coated neodymium magnet to mount it to the sump wall I bought a crap load of em and got some spares
Thoughts on just running and testing reagent A. Will this be a problem?Just be careful reducing the number of tests, if the tubes dry out it is a big pain to clear them and keep things running. My thoughts here are to get the ABC reagents to reduce cost and run the tests the normal amount.
When I sent mine in for the Trident replacement thing they gave me an intake filter with the new unit. I had the impression they were doing that standard. Maybe not.You know what would hella help. Oh maybe they do now. Dunno. I’ve been running mine for 3-4 years ?When I sent mine in for the Trident replacement thing they gave me an intake filter with the new unit. I had the impression they were doing that standard. Maybe not.
Yes, the reagent B and C tubes will dry out.Thoughts on just running and testing reagent A. Will this be a problem?
But does that mater if I don't ever want to use it?Yes, the reagent B and C tubes will dry out.
Never again? Then no, the reagent A, inlet and outlet will all be flushed regularly with regular use.But does that mater if I don't ever want to use it?
