I honestly didn't test again. Beyond putting my hand in the tanks.
It was very clearly rhe heaters through the testing. Lol but since you asked I will likely be testing them again. Maybe my other tanks as well.
Ok so as of now heaters have been replaced in qt tanks and I don't feel anymore tingling or current in the tanks.
I will give things until over night to ensure things are running legit and heaters are holding temps. If they check out tomorrow I will look at adding fish tomorrow.
They are only in the bathroom and kitchens. Everywhere else is 2 prong.
I saw a video however saying i can replace just to outlets to 3 prong gfi outlets labeled as non equipment ground and would offer a margin of safety.
Right now I'm forced to use. These things through the whole house...
That would be awesome would cover my 3 tanks with fish. I ordered two. A few days ago.
I can't say they do anything from experience but I figure it's better than having nothing at all. In terms of a ground.
No. Following this. I will add titanium grounding probes to the tanks however.
It's a older apartment. And getting those added is far beyond my means especially as a tenant.
They have them only in the bathrooms and kitchen.
It verys by fish. I have a flame dwarf and coral beauty neither look at coral.
Others have had them eat corals. While some like me have never had a issue. I Feed them nori daily and frozen so maybe that helps maybe it doesn't.
You would just have to try out one and be prepared to remove if...
I would be intrested in trying one if anyone from southbay drives up to get one.
The wild milli from group buy is still living afterall. Yet I only have 1 other besides that one. All of the other acros or doing well.
One i had for over a year on old frag tank.
Prob the one that was reading 60. It was also treated in citric acid before use here since it was covered in vermatids.
I suspect the new one was reading 10. Could have been roughly handled in shipping who knows.
I have the same heaters on my...
@Turkeysammich helped me figure things out last night. It turned out to be both heaters. One showing 10 volts and the other showing 60 volts.
All the other gear only showed 1-2. I learned a few tricks from Will, should this problem ever show up in the future I won't be as clueless.
What was...
Unfortunately I don't have any grounded outlets like that. In my place beyond the bathroom and kitchens. No where that tanks are that is.
I had red wire in tank and black probe wire on my metal trailer.
There is also a no connection voltage sensing feature.
Near glass of both tanks
Away...
Ok so I tried two meter things. Light but one, it didn't Light up with both probes in the water.
The actual multimeter didn't register anything when I had red wire plugged into the left socket. I switched it to the right socket and it showed what's in the pictures below. I don't honestly know...
Yea having gfci aren't a option for me at present. I don't disagree with you, but i rent the place so that's beyond a casual modification.
The white one's aren't designed for the load they had. Breaker never tripped, just the outlet itself.
Black one is Similar you one's on all my other...
