Just an Update. @psidriven really saved the day for me here..... While im stuck in a foreign county, he brought straps and RODI water to my house and handled business. Tank is strapped up. ATO is topped off. A plan is established and morale is high. So a direct thank you to him as well as...
I had my only friend in Berkeley do this this morning. That is the extent of their capabilities unfortunately. I have a about a 1" spacer on the down tube that I could remove but they where not comfortable doing that
Can anyone help me understand what's better.... running my return pump, or letting it chill. Is there a minimum I should run it. Would an hour on, hour off help or hurt?
Yes.... Im on Vacation. Turned on the Camera this morning to see drips coming down my tank. I called a friend to go over in which they show me it is coming from top corner of glass. One drip every 15 seconds or so. It seems to slow down when i turn my return pump off and let the water drain...
I wish I could sign up for these. Im trying to populate my first tank that's about 8 months old.

Im not sure if this is the appropriate place to discuss this, but this thread has brought up some worries for me to now participate in any future frag swaps. Simply for fear of disappointing. I am somewhat a newbie to reefing and also to fragging. I have not had many failures yet fragging but...
I am aware of the concerns with the palythoa and am just treating them like they are undesirable and potentially unsafe. It is a big reason why I am spinning up a different tank as I plan to quarantine and try to kill it off. But as of now I don't have any pressing issues and am enjoying the tank.
Just adding that I think I found a good 3-6 more in the same spot of the tank. Under that little shelf looks like 3-4 under there.
That top one almost appears like it has a mouth.
Thoughts? Still a sponge? Still ok to leave as a science experiment?
Here have been my Go-To's since getting into the hobby. I think these are tailored for beginners like myself. I like to understand what im doing and why and these have been the best for my specific learning style.
