SJ water does use chloramine, that information is public and they do call out that it may have an impact on live fish or aquatic animals:check with your local water company on this-chances are they are using chloramine/chlorine
Looks like they were doing a combo chlorine and chloramine mix before but now going all in on chloramine. Either way you def need a filter before it hits the RODI membrane -I believe it can damage it permanently..SJ water does use chloramine, that information is public and they do call out that it may have an impact on live fish or aquatic animals:

Probably not.Is it significant enough to get a $300 carbon filter?? All my RODI icp tests come back zeros across the board. Latest one was last month and membrane is 2 years old.
Icp cant show chloramine. Only the elements, but if I have zero Cl then I can’t have any Clhoramine. We had this lengthy thread about this topic, which might be worth re-reading again if you have not: https://bareefers.org/forum/threads/challenges-in-removing-chloramine-in-rodi-setup.39238/
Re ICP: Can share your most recent RODI water test results which show that your water has 0 chloramine?
Yes, hence my questionIcp cant show chloramine. Only the elements, but if I have zero Cl then I can’t have any Clhoramine.
How did you test for chloramine?Regardless I tested the water after the carbon blocks and all chloramine is removed from them.
