    Single head zoa fragging/mounting tips

Thanks for all the help! I’ll give it a shot next weekend and check back in. How exactly are you drying these zoa heads? Just rolling them in a paper towel? Honestly I’ve never dealt with single heads I’ve always fragged multiples

    Single head zoa fragging/mounting tips

I’ll try that too, I get glue all over my hands every time I touch it. That’s why I’m worried. I’ll have gloves for this so hopefully it won’t be too bad.

    Single head zoa fragging/mounting tips

I forgot all about the accelerator, whats a good brand these days? I haven’t used it in a long time. Edit: I see the bsi one I assume it’s reef safe since bulk reef supply seems to sell the same one with their sticker slapped on it

    Single head zoa fragging/mounting tips

I got a nice frag plug covered in pandoras, purple monster and pink diamonds. But they’re all mixed and some are under the plug, separating them seems straight forward enough just cut them apart, but what techniques do people use to make sure the zoas don’t get covered in super glue? I’ve never...

Hobby Costs; Can they be lower?

That graph gives me hope lol. Our first month of solar was December and it hardly put a dent. With these constant showers January is looking to be the same.

Hobby Costs; Can they be lower?

Yeah just wasn’t worth the headache. Maybe if my house was a single story I would have given it more consideration. But even paying someone else the break even is just under 4 years, not even accounting for the tax incentive

Does PVC really need to cure?

I pvc glue for work sometimes. With no airflow it can stay wet for days. I would blow a fan at it and let it dry. The bond is mechanical imo so the fear isn’t that the bond will be weak but that you’ll shoot glue all over the tank

Hobby Costs; Can they be lower?

Speaking of solar. If you didn’t know if you are not in the process of installing or done by this April you probably won’t be grandfathered into the current net metering program. After putzing around with Tesla solar, We used kingdom solar and they did a great job very quickly and about 10k...

    Sfork’s 90.3 WaterBox

After about a month of moving around I saw the nem floating around at 5 am and just shoved it under a rock right in the front. Surprisingly it stuck. Added 2 cleaner shrimp and everyone lined up for a cleaning. The shrimp were scared and the fish were trying to convince them by laying on the...

    Sfork’s 90.3 WaterBox

Rocks been underwater for 6 weeks. Of course it’s time to stock up on Christmas sales. My one surviving coral is actually showing signs of polyps after shedding for 3 weeks. It’s the sad leather laying on the sand. The rainbow BTA finally picked a spot after moving every night of course my...

Gravity fed ATO for my ATO need connection ideas

Alright I ended up getting something from advanced acrylics and plan to tap a 1/4 npt hole near the bottom to gravity feed into the tank. I’m gonna try with a beverage washer and oring beverage lock nut first. If that fails silicone solves all. I’m looking at the float valve waterbox gave me...
