Is there a website for when the rolling power outages might happen and in which areas? Does this one work for the rolling outages? https://psps.ss.pge.com/ Edit: The PSPS website doesn't include these forecasts since they are not caused by extreme weather, but caused by usage.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. After adding fish, I’ve noticed brown snot like stuff growing and I’m pretty sure its dinos. Going to dose hydrogen peroxide at 1ml/gallon for a couple of weeks and see how that does.

If that’s the case, I bet they will recover in a stable tank.

What PAR are you keeping those at? Also, what are your tank parameters, especially nitrate and phosphate?

I haven't really thought about that. My goals are: Needs to be quiet/silent (the fiancee is very noise sensitive since the tank is next to the TV) Needs to have multiple drains in case of failure Easy to clean overflow Other than that, I'm all ears.

I use Tropic Marin’s All For Reef. The DIY kit has Alk, Cal, Mag and two bottles of trace elements, Pro Trace A- and Pro Trace K+. I imagine you could just dose the trace elements itself.

.3 nitrates? That seems really low. Phosphate seems good.

I use a little less of the citric acid to water ratio, 3/4 cup of citric acid to 1 gallon of water but pretty sure it won’t harm anything. I leave it in there for 30-60 minutes, and I can easily scrub off the rest. If it’s too difficult to scrub still, I put it back for another hour or so...

Is that plumbed into your main display?

I'm curious on this as well. I personally think its a bit overboard to dose bacteria continuously. To me, I think its more of an advertisement for vendors by BRS.
