Help moving 6ft tank? (San Mateo)

I can give you a hand if it's on Monday as long as it's before 2pm...can't do sat.

    Hard water/calcium/limescale build up…

Spray some citric acid on it and let it soak for a 30-40 minutes...just make sure to keep it wet. After the soak, try using a magic eraser (one with no soap) to get it off. If it's not etched into the glass too bad it should come off. If it is etched, then cerium oxide polish imo will be your...

    Arin's Reefer-S 850 Build

Didn't realize your entire room was that color. I'd paint the wall behind the tank for sure. It's inevitable that you will get water on it. Maybe the different sheen might not look that bad since it's that same color...idk. Worse case scenario, you can paint the rest of the room down the line...

Bug id: hard bug hanging out near encrusting monti

Looks like a small chiton to me. They have a hard shell and difficult to remove from any surface…your turkey baster will do nothing to it. As far as I know, they are reef safe.

    Arin's Reefer-S 850 Build

Don't want to rain on your parade but you might want to repaint that wall. Flat paint will not stand the test of time especially sitting behind a large tank like the one you will be setting up. I use Kelly Moore's Dura Poxy in an eggshell sheen. My breakfast nook/storage is also painted with...

You'll be surprised how much real estate the cords and wires will take up. I don't think 4 holes is too much. I highly suggest you plan out how you will group the wiring to be fed through the holes. Keep in mind of the items that need to be unplugged and removed for cleaning or replacing...

    Radion owners...missing screws xr15 pro?

Found some in the tool box that seems to work well with the bracket. For reference, it's a M5x8mm

    Radion owners...missing screws xr15 pro?

I don't recall seeing any screws on the unit itself that would be used for the x bracket. The light did come with the 4 screws for hanging the unit. I'll dig around to see if I have any M5's in the tool box. That's pretty lame of ecotech not to include them with the bracket...not like these...

    Radion owners...missing screws xr15 pro?

My xr15 order along with the x bracket came in yesterday and noticed neither packages had attachment screws for the x bracket. Does ecotech just not include them or am I just missing them from my package?

    Reef Octopus Blade Powerhead?

I reached out to the company inquiring about a potential release date. They responded back saying they “don't have plan to release the Blade at recently schedule . Once we have plan , we will let you know.” Doesn’t sound like it’s going to hit the retail market anytime soon.

    Solana 34g "Kids-Older-Now-Let's-Give-It-Another-Go" Reef

Check inside the filter chamber of your tank...might have jumped in there. My brother thought his 6 line bit the dust. 6 months later while cleaning out the aio chamber, he found his wrasse healthier than ever.

The casters should handle that weight. Let me know if you would like to use what I have or source something else. If you’re not comfortable with the 4ft length, I can run down the street to Lowe’s and swap out the 4 footers with the appropriate length.

New TLF Reborn Ca media? Other options?

Cool…They are a bit out from me but I’ll try to make it out there early next week. Hopefully they have it in stock. Any idea what the numbers represent as far as sizing?

New TLF Reborn Ca media? Other options?

Picked up a ca reactor setup a couple of weeks ago and did some research on media options. TLF Reborn was a popular one for a lot of folks, but from my research it's no longer the same product as before due to CITES restrictions on harvesting. I'm leaning on picking up some ARM media and call it...

    Arin's Reefer-S 850 Build

Here’s the dolly with my 150 on it. Did you get the 71” or 82” tank? If you’re not comfortable with the tank hanging over the edge you can swap out the 48” 2x6 with longer ones. Any idea on the weight of the tank? I just checked the load on the 5” swivel casters…it’s 350lbs each.
