    New product reveal!

Dana is a stooge, but for different reasons, and I wouldn't mind reading some updated info from him. I would really like to hear Rich's, @Thales , take on the new lights. Would really like to see them in person. What's the estimated time frame for when they'll actually be released...

    Best LFS in LA?

Reef Lounge, TGC, Vivid Aquarium. There are more, but I forgot their names.

    New product reveal!

Pretty cool that they work with RMS, but I'm really digging the custom mounts in the video.

    3D printed trident guide

I'm surprised that Neptune doesn't include a set of these seeing how useful they are and could alleviate some of the issues that users have. It would improve upon their customer satisfaction as well as alleviate their support volume to some extent.

    New product reveal!

They've been developing and testing the SKY led lights for awhile so not exactly a spoiler. :D

    battery backup options

Yep, it doesn't take much to put together to get ~30 hours of power to the vortech. Not too concerned about heat or light, but flow is different story.

    battery backup options

It didn't cost that much for me to daisy chain a couple of batteries (12V 20Ah each) together to keep a vortech running in the event of an outage. Total cost was ~half the price of an Ecotech backup with better performance. https://www.bareefers.org/forum/threads/cad-lights-46g.18797/post-280802

Assorted Acros for pick up in SJ

Needs MORE blues! :D Here's the Mattv Rainbow Envy in one of my previous tank. Doesn't look like much at all under whites, like most rainbows, but has decent pop under blues.

Assorted Acros for pick up in SJ

I usually don't run my lights as blue as it takes for any of MattV's sps to look decent.

    Peter's 40G Journey

Look up stockman standpipe since you're dealing with a single drain. I ran one for awhile and it made a noticeable difference noise-wise.

What are the chances this Goni looks like the pic

Doubtful that's even close, even when viewing the "whiter picture". A few things comes to mind: 1. Looks like they shot it through an orange filter to cut through the blue lights. I don't think I've ever seen a plug that color before... 2. Topdown shot. Unless you have a really low tank and...

    ALK consumption

Alk mapped alongside pH. Didn't add temp to the chart since it's pretty much a flat line that doesn't change much.

    ALK consumption

Over 1 dkh daily if I was to pull the calcium reactor offline on ~20G tank. As to actual, I haven't actually measured and don't really want to mess with the corals with such a new tank and limited reserves/tolerances on such small frags. Just an observation as I was manually dosing to bring...

    Frag Swap is Coming !!

Not sure how the swap is being planned but in prior ones, which I've attended, the corals were separated out into LPS, SPS, softies. From there there were lists of corals which were deemed bonus corals (due to either their rarity and/or cost/demand). The bonus corals allowed you to be first in...

    Waterbox Cube 20G

Got my hands on a brown filter. I usually don't shoot corals under blue lighting with an orange filter since it saturates the pics a bit, where it's noticeable to my eyes, and blows out the oranges and reds (especially prevalent in LPS). These are pretty spot on in regards to actual colors...

    Frag Swap is Coming !!

Yo don't make it member exclusive. I still want to visit with some old fogeys and do some catching up. Not planning on swapping, even though I'll probably toss some frags onto the tables regardless (not from the the freebie/banned lists that doesn't count).

"Ignore" Function -- Did you know?

Yes, it's quite small for a carpet; about the size of a dvd. I noticed it their tank but couldn't figure out what it was. It was all bleached out and lay flat on the coral rubble bed, like a sheet of paper. I just knew that it was an anemone of some sort, which was very intriguing since the...

"Ignore" Function -- Did you know?

Took this last Sunday. It's colored up more and is brighter, than in this pic, when I last saw it a couple of days ago.
