    Ghost Pages

A few converted threads have "ghost" pages, probably due to differences between the forum platform. For instance, this thread shows 6 pages when there are only 2 pages with content. Can this be cleaned up, either manually or automatically?

    The New Forum is Here!

Thank you for the massive undertaking, Denzil! It was a sorely needed retrofit. Apparently there is no sleep for the wicked what with ironing out all the bugs. ;)

Save the Date: BAR Breeding and Propagation Workshop, October 19th

As someone who put in quite a bit of legwork on that, surely you can understand how important it is to the current BOD to be bequeathed the vector graphic of the logo in order to continue the effort!

    Tankguy's 75

Huzzah, you've got a journal going! What happened to the clownfish? Please don't tell me they all jumped!

Three cheers for a much needed update! Thanks for handling the migration, Denzil.

    Polishing Aquarium Glass

You've already brought out the heavy artillery - this is one tough nut to crack! Two things that could be worth a try: 1. Goof Off: the Heavy Duty formula is supposed to be water-based, but I would still proceed with caution. 2. Isopropyl alcohol: though this seems weak compared to...

    Kessil Facility Tour - July 20th @ 1pm

Not too familiar with the idea, but I am thinking Cafe Pascal near Kessil as a casual place for lunch. We can come in and go as we please without having to be seated as a group. If anyone knows the area and has dining recommendations, I am all ears! A group buy requires coordination among...

    For all the clown lovers

The defect notes provided by Matt Pedersen are quite refreshing. Captive breeding of marine ornamentals would be better off if every breeder approached their "work" with such a detailed and critical eye. I suspect many of the bidders are breeders seeing dollar signs. Hopefully a portion...

    Kessil Facility Tour - July 20th @ 1pm

We are going to try to have as many BAR members participate before opening this to guests, but please do note if you would like to bring a guest. Thanks! Drop off the guests at a nearby park (or on Cutting Boulevard for a more gritty experience!) and come back for them in a couple hours...

Hawaii bound - looking for suggestions!

No recommendations from me, since I can hardly recall anything about Hawaii after two decades - just wanted to wish you lovebirds a fun and happy trip! :) Please share! :D

    Craig Bingman Chemistry Articles

Which browser are you using to access Reef Frontiers, Charlie? The "Reported Attack Page!" error comes and goes for me on Reef Frontiers, but only using Firefox and Chrome. Safari has no issues, and I haven't tried any other browsers. It seems to affect only browsers that use Google's...

What does 'Minimum Water Level' mean on a heater? I water level must be lower or higher?

Help my heater doesn't have a minimum water line! Silliness aside, +1 to what Mark wrote. Unless the heater is specifically identified as a non-submersible heater (not many these days, but I do have one of the non-submersible types that are meant to hang off the...

    South Bay Tank Tour!!

Special thanks to Brandie and Denzil for heading up the tour, and to all the members who generously allowed a stampede of people into their homes to view their tanks! There are a lot more tanks in the South Bay, and we will definitely need another tank tour to see them.

East Bay Tank Tour! Sunday July 14th

Yes, please! I've been wanting to see the progress on Ron's fishroom setup, and it wouldn't be far from the last stop at Diablo.

    DaVinci Picasso Ocellaris Clownfish pair's

That's great news you are acquiring more broodstock! A couple things I try to look out for are: 1. Avoid sibling pairings whenever possible. I would suggest splitting up the two DaVincis that are currently in the same tank. 2. No hybridization of two species. There are some arguments...

    DaVinci Picasso Ocellaris Clownfish pair's

You should be very proud, Robert - those are some very nice DaVincis! If you are looking to breed the DaVincis and suspect they may be siblings, might I recommend pairing the DaVincis with Wyoming Whites from a different lineage?

BAR Guest Speaker Craig Bingman for June 8th Meeting

It is a shame you won't be able to make it out, Chris. For a variety of reasons, speakers on the national circuit typically do not consent to videotaping their presentation. We should have detailed notes courtesy of Brandie posted up here. Hope you have fun with the kids on Saturday!
