    Malaysian Acros?

Oh no. That’s terrible. Worse part is that they are so hard to come by now. I should’ve brought in a lot more because everyone is looking for a piece. ‍♂️ I have 2-3 brood stock frags left but they are definitely not ready to be fragged. Slow grower.

What salt would you actually buy at High Tide?

Yeah, after doing that several times, I realize that the steady demand wasn’t going to go away so I made it a permanent staple in the shop. Don’t get me wrong, TM is the Ferrari of salt and it’s what I use on all my service clients now but man, it’s a terribly slow mover because of its price point.

What salt would you actually buy at High Tide?

Most online places like BRS buys TM salt by containers, direct from TM so they didn’t have to add much shipping cost to the cost per bucket. LFS generally can’t/won’t do that. If they’re lucky enough, they can afford to buy it by the pallet. Shipping on a pallet of TM salt from SoCal to NorCal...

Are CO2 Calcium Reactors out of favor nowadays?

Correct, DaStaco system calls for very specific media that doses only Calcium And Alkalinity instead of real Aragonite. This is because their reactor runs at a native 6.0 PH. However, I’am using Aragonite in the 2nd chamber where the PH is just a tad HIGHER at about 6.1-6.2 and so far the...

Are CO2 Calcium Reactors out of favor nowadays?

One of the most important aspects of using a CaRx to me is that it doses natural ratio of trace elements. Something that no other dosing methods can do. That’s why I think for large tanks where even normal water changes are done, I still don’t think it’s enough. Hence for large tanks, a CaRx is...

    Malaysian Acros?

Haven’t lost a single frag in the shop or at my client’s tanks. Essentially all the frags of the first colony are sold.

One power supply to rule them all?

Doing that in the shop. You do want spares though and keep your critical device off of it because when it goes, the whole unit goes. I wouldn’t put a return pump on a shared power supply. I put skimmers and lights on it.
