Which external pump to buy ?

I've used Reeflo pumps for over 2 years. They're quiet and customer service is very good (advance replacement if under warranty). I'm using a Snapper on my 120g with and a Dart on my 225g. I have a Snapper that needs the impellar seal replaced and I have the parts if you're interested...

Plumbing question - potential problems reducing pipes

I agree that head pressure doesn't affect the 1260 as much as the 1262. However, according to Marine Depot's chart the 1262 can flow 600gph at over 8' where as the 1260 can only flow 600gph up to 2', right...

Plumbing question - potential problems reducing pipes

My current setup (AGA 120g) is a 1.5" coming from a Reeflo Snapper (2500gph) to a 1.5" check valve to a 1.5" ballvalve to a 1.5" tee that splits off to (2) 3/4" then up to the tank to (2) 3/4" Sea-Swirls with penductors. If I run without the penductors and leave the ballvalve wide open, the...

Wow. 50% = 60+ gallons. I'll need a couple of trash cans to do that. :tired:

    RTNing

I too am battling RTN. I've had this issue for about a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, too many recent changes, so I have no clue as to what might have started it. I've been doing 15% water changes every 3 days and I've added more carbon. Seems to have slowed down some, but I'm fragging and...

Thank you very much to Reef Nutrition for supplying the pizza and to Jim for the cool place/environment to scraf it down. I'll be showing up heavy a magnum of sparkling wine. Any chance there could be half a pizza without onions? Thanks.

Aiptasia are getting to me argh!

I used to have a bunch of aptasias in my 225g and I've tried the kalk paste, but I couldn't get to all of them and they grow too fast. Then I added a Heniochus Butterfly not intending it for aptasias removal, but a week later the aptasias are almost all gone. :)

    Tucked in for the night

Sounds like the same thing I did when I added some chromis to my tank. It took less then an hour for a bunch them to sleep/hide in the coral. Here's a shot about 15min. after the MH turned on.
