    Why is it that....

Had a direct hit a couple months ago. I took my glasses off for a minute because they got splashed when I dropped a frag. The safety issue didn’t even register since I’m used to *always* having them on. I was trying to get an xacto under a polyp and accidentally squished it —directly into my...

    200g reboot

Yeah, 20g ato reservoir on the right. As for the baffle system... first part with the wavy pattern is adjustable - in the pic it's at the furthest-down position so it doesn't knock around in transport. It'll be raised up to some level that works well with the skimmer, so water will flow over...

    200g reboot

It's heeeeere! ...I hope I measured properly and this thing fits in the stand! Plastic Builders in San Jose did an amazing job... I'm blown away by the build quality. Nice polycarb lids, smooth rounded edges on everything and it's SOLID!

    Algae Film

ohhh yah, <3 the flipper. it can be little irritating because the thing doesn't float... but the blades last foooreeeeever so it's totally worth it.

    Algae Film

I generally need to run the velcro side of the cleaner magnet over the glass every 3-4 days. I think that's typical unless you're trying to run a low-nutrient tank?

    Frag plugs

I'm wondering if these would be easier to produce with traditional mold-making processes (vacuum forming, silicone mold making) once you have enough positives?

    SPS Id need

Purple growth edge and greenish encrusting growth is pretty normal for these things. The branches should go yellow (sometimes with a greenish tint) as they get bigger if they're getting enough light.

Looking to buy 7 fishes I need some advice :)

Uhhh, when I asked them about their qt process, the story I got had quite a few holes in it. Does someone else have more info? Sounded like a few dips on arrival, “there’s copper in the water” with no indication of therapeutic dose, and strong UV (not sure what that’s supposed to treat). They...

    Getting a Wrasse to eat

leopards can definitely be a bit spacey. If it's actively hunting and behaving properly (i.e. not obviously suffering from disease) .... it helps a bit if there are other not-super-aggressive fish in the tank that will snatch food from the water column. That often sparks a bit of a "me too!"...

Looking to buy 7 fishes I need some advice :)

I've had bicolor blennies go rogue and eat lps several times... stick with lawnmowers unless you've really got your heart set on the bicolors. Grammas are great fish, but I've never had one live more than ~2yrs or so, and I'm not talking about tank crashes or anything.

Support the club! Save the world!

Donating frags for the club to raffle off for $ at a (very rare) event that otherwise has no $ involved seems odd ... the whole spirit of the event is sharing what we've grown with one another.

Any Idea Why My Zoanthids are lookink this bad?

They actually don't look like they're in any immediate danger. Angry, but not melting or anything. Assuming you can keep parameters stable and there's a decent amount of flow in the tank, patience should yield results.
