I agree the Launch is a good starting point if you don't know exactly what you want to monitor and control, it's got a little bit of everything. I'm running it on my frag tank and I like it so far.

I run cation>anion>mixed bed cause San Jose water sucks. Anion gets used up the fastest for me. By the time my anion is 90% used up the cation has maybe a 1/4" of resin that has changed color and the mixed bed has no color change.
