Ok. I understand the structural element. So can I temporally remove it and glue to back? Or would that be too troublesome in the future if I ever have to remove my aquascape. Is removing it ever necessary where I would be ok with a semi permanent installation?

I believe right now the industry leans on PETG as it is the least toxic for the application. PLA absorbs water so it is usually not recommended. Sometimes PETG requires printing inside of an enclosure and has the higher heat index.
