You should try siphoning into a filter sock that you temporarily put in your sump. Then you can clean your sand bed as much as you want and not do a water change.

Have you considered getting more organisms that produce O2 (aka getting more corals)? I wonder if having too much water volume relative to the amount of corals has that much of an effect on pH? Good excuse for the next CFM for an "experiment" :p

If you feed you corals try feeding Benepets, that actually lowers phosphate for me. Edit: But only like .01-.03 usually.
