I think it has to do with paying attention. Any methodology that gets you to pay attention, likely results in a better system overall. If you do one where you don't even have to think, just do what they tell ya, may work well up to a point. Same with tank resets

Bob water - 100 gal min, a buck a gallon. If you do more, or do more than every few months he will likely give you a lower price. I just got 600 gallons. :)

I wouldn't worry about freeze dried food expanding, it gets saturated pretty quick. That said, I don't like freeze dried food for fish because I think it is kinda a mess and woujld rather use pellets or flake.

They can scratch the glass, but so can many things in your tank, including metal blades if misused.

I have to cut a bunch of tips of this. If someone wants to come by and pick them up and distribute them, then more pepole would have it! There are AEFW in the tank, which is why fresh cut tips are great. Dip anyway. :D
