Only as far as your feed pump will let you. Peristaltic pumps are limited by the vacuum they can create - max vertical lift is around 32ft. I'd guess horizontally you'd be fine horizontally up to 30ft then flows rates may decrease. Keep in mind the total distance is a round trip of the fluid...
150 Gallon Tank (Day 54)
Found a deal on two XR30 G4 Pros and my sense of balance is back now that the two XR15 are gone. Now all I need to do is find someone that has two diffuser kits laying around.

Uglies still remain at bay. Haven't seen anything new crop up yet. Rocks and...
You can always add a use a little CA gel just to hold in place then put cement on top and around. That way you don't have to support it while it dries.
I'd take it if you were closer. Why don't you like it? I use that primarily for all my playtime with rocks. Once it's dry, you'll probably break the rock first before the new bond.
E-marco is pretty much just Portland cement and acyrl 60 I believe.
I have about 25 Maxspect nano blocks in the house. If anyone wants to swap a new one with one from any of my systems, I'm happy to do so. Castro Valley isn't too far from High Tide, if you want to swap tomorrow.
Frag Tank
Latest update on the Indo mariculture piece I picked up from Clearwater around 2 months ago.
A pic without all the fuzz. Shows the actual color of the tissue. Colored up nicely so far.
What it looked like when I first got it March 3.
150 Gallon Tank (Day 49)
Since this tank is in the garage, I gotta make sure the tank is ready for the hot weather to come. I used to be able to cool the 6x3x1' frag tank in the garage with just a bunch of 5V fans, so I'm hoping the same is true for this tank.
I had a few 5V USB fans laying...
150 Gallon Tank (Day 47)
Bacterial bloom is finally really starting to clean itself up. Can't wait until it's crystal clear again. So far uglies have been limited to diatoms for a few days and a bacterial bloom for 3-4 days (so far). Let's take guesses as to what's next.
I knew these things...

Water parameters as of tonight
Alk: 7.2
Ca: 415
Mg: 1275
Nitrate: 3.1
Phosphate: 0.7
This is more inline where I normally run.
The extra feeding and dosing of Sodium Nitrate has brought my nitrate level up to my normal range. I'm guessing the extra dosing of NaNO3 is probably...
150 Gallon Tank
Been fighting a cloudy tank the last couple of days - most likely a bacterial bloom. I thought the UV would clear it up within a day or two, but we'll just leave it be for now.
Added a used Bubble King Double Cone 200 skimmer with a Red Dragon 3 pump I've had sitting around...
Buy a masterflex peristaltic pump that takes two tubes in a single head. Connect the tubes such that one is pulling and the other is pushing. As long as there are no clogs, they should push or pull at the same rate as long as tubes are the same length (or make sure tubes are primed first).
It's...
Mostly pests and bacteria (hopefully, bad - vibrio is free floating). But even when running at slow flow rates, it does clean up the water a bit compared to without.
I don't run them on all my tanks, but in general, I would if the option exists.

Got around to plumbing in a 57W AquaUV UV Sterilizer. I was looking online at bulbs and I just noticed that Pentair & AquaUv sterilizer in the 50W range are now $900!!!!! So crazy. Glad I held onto to this one instead of selling it.
Instead of using a pipe clamp, I ended up...
