Welcome back to the lower stress side of reefing! It looks great from here.

Quick ICP head to head results

That's why I started running cuprisorb in all my tanks, I (theoretically) get the visual indication from the bag if any metals get absorbed.

    Plunger wave device

He said the "fro" made it silent, I was thinking it needed damping and a spring somewhere partway through.

    Angel Fish and Corals

Most softies are fine with most fish, so you could always run a softie dominant tank like my 120 Sandy bottom reef. I've got an Ornate/Bellus Angelfish in there.

My first Fish copper Qt treatment

No one is spending $250 on a temp controller (looks at my Ranco controller on my big tank). Okay, most people aren't spending that on a temp controller. 5 Inkbirds, 1 Ranco here.

I am also referring to old Tunze's that Mike gave me.

My first Fish copper Qt treatment

When I started reading about copper treatment in this thread, I didn't realize you'd be using the copper as electrical conduit ;) You guys are right that heaters are usually the issue, but I have some powerheads that short out, so check those as well.

Diving straight in - Sameer's Waterbox Infinia 230.6 build thread

The difference is how much water are you taking with your skimmate. To adjust, turn your valve on your skimmer to push the line between the water and the bubbles up higher in your skimmer neck. It will cause water to overflow into your cup, which is water you don't really want in your system...

Diving straight in - Sameer's Waterbox Infinia 230.6 build thread

I like to use the skimmer to clear up the water. I often skim super wet for a few days and treat it like a slow water change, especially if I do a chemiclean treatment to get at some cyano. Carbon I change every 2-3 months and haven't seen any issues.

    Feeding gobies

Because we are old, and see what it has done to the youths and the unintelligent. I'm with KR on pretty much everything. Variety of foods as often as possible through the day. Mine get frozen when I remember, multiple kinds of flakes 2-3x a day, and pellets on an autofeeder 4x a day. Also...

    Zoa-eating snail - Sundial (Heliacus)

My favorite ways to get rid of zoas are to cut the colony off or smother it. I wouldn't trust a biological solution here and haven't heard of anything robust...

    My New Favorite Skimmer Cleaner

All by people not cleaning skimmers. It isn't as powerful as a gas driven one, which has perks.

    My New Favorite Skimmer Cleaner

Cleans the needs wheel like I've never been able to before with tweezers. I love it. It is that sweet spot to break up small tube worms but won't take paint off. https://www.dewalt.com/product/dcpw550b/20v-max-550-psi-cordless-power-cleaner-tool-only?tid=578611 Dewalt Battery operated...

    Ammonia cleaning

Bleach is good here, it will break down the organics from the geckos and then evaporate.

    High calcium

IMO, you could get away with a magnesium dose by hand every month with a test and a reef calculator to tell you how much to dump in if you don't want a dosing pump. Mag doesn't get used up that fast, there is a fair amount of it in the water and the acceptable range is really wide. Ato isn't a...
