2025 Budget Tank Build Exhibition

I had a buddy of mine give me a HOB filter, sand, some rock and a clown in exchanged for driving lessons (super random right) would I put those items in my build as free or should I write in the price as If I had bought them and add them to the total?

makes sense. nope just a guy with a truck I dont mind scratching, I didn't ask for payment or anything too so it was a very cool surprise on his part knowing I wanted to set up a clown tank

Im a professional plumber that charges but if someone wanted to give me a skimmer in trade I would still say free.

Just a reminder to everyone that has started this exhibition that a monthly journal update is required. Also, you can technically start an exhibition journal this week still and be eligible as a Q1 contestant.

Are there any other members that are planning on joining the exhibition?

I've been far too busy to keep an eye on this as much as I'd like, but I have too much going on outside of BAR to handle it. If you can all help with keeping each other accountable, that would be a great help. I will be opening a poll for members to vote on their favorite Q1 budget build so far. I have nothing in place for prizes yet, but I'll try and get something figured out.

I made the mistake of filling it a month ago lol. And now it's a mucky tank oops

I can't even do a 100% water change because I have little salt left. So I'm going to do the lame "mix the muck and hope it gets cleaned by the filter" method until july 4 when salt goes on sale again
It's okay since there's not going to be any challenging corals for a bit

Will take a picture and make a journal soon
