Wow! I was impressed with just the angels but now it's really coming together. In a matter of a few weeks, it's well-populated and thriving.
It must be fun filling that massive tank.

Can you tell us how you made 300 gallons of salt water quickly? Did you do a quick-cycle?

Since you're adding a lot of life so quickly what's happening with nitrates and phosphates?

Swapped 4 gyres for 4 mp40. They are mounted to the back of tank and set at 40%

Controllers are velcro to the wall.

This is much more spacious than when I previously had a shelf in this area.

Easier to program ap9x. But the smatfarm is bright enough enough. Corals were happy with them.
I'm looking for a frag tank light, is it a good option? I have ap9x on my display too

Why change water when nutrients are already (too) low?

Always a risk when you have sand. It might have picked on something that caused a mouth or upper digestive tract infection. Do you have a Q tank that’s sand free? This guy tolerated many rounds of 100% tap water changes but tapping out to a natural environment! Try clean QT with antibiotics like metrizole and kanaplex.

This guy was able to do weeks without food before (many times) so it should be ok for now as long as it can recover from this infection.
Doesnt see any infection. Just put him into a 15g with zoas. I dont mind if he eats them.

Is 15g too small?

Not too small as long as oxygen is high enough for it not to pant. Problem with this setup is you can’t medicate because of the live stuff . My old blue beer bucket might work better if you have meds to try. Usually for bacteria all it takes is 2-3 nights to see if works or otherwise.

It’s raised from 1” so it likely doesn’t know what an anemone is and might have tried to nip and is learning its lesson.

@popper I have Metroplex, Kanaplex, Focus, Prime conditioner - typically Metro and Kana along with Focus to bind medication (if mixing with the feed, which wont work in this case since it isn't eating at all) is needed to treat for infections.. I understand you still need to confirm that it's an infection (white stringy poop is a big symptom so lookout for that), but let me know if you need any of these medications if you decide to go that route

A lot of surface water movement and water flow through the tank AIO.

Look at his poop. If it’s not brown and solid do this.
Whatever he’s eating. Add focus and metro for 2 weeks , once or twice a day , add focus and metro to food 30 minutes before feeding. 1 scoop each.
This will kill internal parasites.
While you’re feeding him meds. His poop will be all white and runny. Then when you’re done. It will be solid and brown.

Focus is not a bad idea. years ago it’s tank mate the emperor developed “sesame shaped discoloration “ all around the a$$hole area and started losing weight. I figured it’s hexamita and I dosed focus and metrozole into its food and all cleared.
