@Alexander1312 -do you have a rollermat? That I found to be very helpful in keeping down nutrients-I can’t remember now exactly but it it was down for a week I really saw N & P jump. Do not get me wrong -I do feed heavy & w/o Lanthanum dosing through skimmer my PO4 still jumps. Awaiting ICP test but contemplating jump back to carbon dosing.

The price I paid for getting the sump for my tank was to have issues with the rollers that fit. There are some limited options but I am still waiting for IM to release one as they had promised for two years.

Also, there are some concerns about rollers significantly impacting skimmer performance more broadly.

I do think we do not max out the skimmer potential enough and quickly go to secondary solutions, hence this post.

But from all the methods, I like carbon dosing best, specifically the Elimi NP product from Tropic Marin, vs vodka etc.

I am currently using the Fauna Marin 0.04 adsorber, but it's very weak in its impact, I believe intentionally, yet not cheap, so I might give up on this in a couple of months or so. The nice thing about this is that phosphate will apparently not bottom out. I wish this was my problem :).

Was using their bacto balance for a bit of time. Def inexpensive and worked fairly well. I can’t remember why I stopped.. but will resume again.

As to the rollermat- def impacts skimmer operations a bit I found but at the same time it can do a lot to remove esp uneaten food that then breaks down I think more efficiently than skimmers- or rather I see the N/P impact more when the rollermat went down vs skimmer -for what I can test.

I know IM has a couple rollermats-seem targeted towards their AIO’s -hopefully they will have an a expanded selection soon enough
