Hey Julio,
It was nice meeting you the other day. I am glad you are sticking with it despite the tank crash and current issues. Looks like you are headed in the right direction! I will let you know when I have other frags available.
G
like wise Gerry, it was nice meeting. I appreciate the frags already. I hope someday I can grow something good to give back as well.

I ended up asking @tribbitt about orange lens clips he had on a tank journal just clipped on a desk in one of his tank pictures. I ordered them from AliExpress like he did. It arrived in less than a week. Must have been US stock. Cost about 17$. I Also saw Orphek is selling them on Amazon for 26$ with one day shipping. Anyways here some pics:

without lens.

Best 17$ I’ve spent towards being able to share what I actually see in my living room with friends and family. Thanks @tribbitt.

I'm glad it's working for you. Try the macro lens, you get get really up close with corals. They do have to be close to the glass though. If you're photographing frags on a rack, or something on a rock near the glass, it's great. Won't focus on anything very far though.

just an awesome kit! Can’t say thank you enough.

quick update on an idea inspired by @gmdcdvm tank journal post. Haven’t seen anyone else do this and it’s a trail in progress. My tank crashed but during the crash GSP was spreading like normal. I debated on removing one of the GSP rocks but now I’ll just try to control it better and still have coral real estate:

reposted trying to get clearer images and did not work lol* figured it out! Landscape is better than portrait for clarity! Took me two years on bar to notice*

Very nice! I don't have any experience with GSP but the hammer coral did kill off the encrusting monti wherever it made contact with the polyps. I will be interested to see how it works out in your tank.

The frags are elevated 1 inch or so from the GSP or they might be engulfed by GSP tentacles completely. Hope the sting slows its growth in repairing itself if it does touch. I like the trees in the grass look a ton though!! It’s what came to my mind when I saw your tank journal. Makes me want to start another tank with just GSP, frogspawn, hammers and torches growing on top lol
