Antibiotic Dipping Routine

I've been dipping using Bayer and Coral RX, but with all the Euphyllia I've lost due to bacterial infection, I want to try something different.

I want to incorporate some sort of anti-bacterial into my dipping regimine and oxolinic acid seems to be a good candidate. Chummingham's reef mentions using it in this video (
) and there is this coral dip article from Michael Paletta (https://reefbuilders.com/2023/06/08/how-to-properly-treat-and-dip-newly-acquired-corals/) that uses oxolinic acid (potassium nitrate, Lugol's iodine, Melafix, Revive, and oxolinic acid).

Anyone incorporate oxolinic acid or another type of antibiotic into their dipping regimine?

I just use Reef Primer. I'd rather not kill off and the beneficial bacteria that live in around the corals when I get them in.

Reviving this thread because I have some brown jelly. Stupid Vegas move. (Never move houses or break down a tank if it is doing well, just tell your wife too bad and see how that works)

This thread on r2r has a good writeup on cipro in tank treatment. I had some for a nem I was going to get so I took the plunge today on the in tank treatment. I've lost 3 or so torches slowly over the last 3 or so months due to what I am pretty sure is brown jelly disease.

I also tried an iodine dip today on the coral I am seeing the bjd on today. I will keep everyone updated as to what I find. How long are people doing the iodine dip? A quick swirl, or a few minutes? I did a 50/50 ration of CVS Povidone Iodine in a 10% solution for maybe 30 seconds, then an rodi rinse and put the torch back in the tank.

I tint the water a little brown, coral in, baste 10 min, rinse and return to display

Maybe that’s too long, I don’t know

I've found that it doesn't save the coral in situations where it appears healthy but just peels right off, however it does seem to help when we see brown decay on one polyp and stops spread.
That's what I am hoping for

Here's what it looks like today
