Quick fix but not aesthetically pleasing is using an egg crate and tying the fan to it. Should the fan be pulling/ or pushing air? Previously I used a fan to push to agitate the water, but I am hearing a lot of people mentioning pulling lately.I bet a good fan just pulling air through the stand would be almost as good
If you're looking for evap cooling, the you should be pushing air over the water.Quick fix but not aesthetically pleasing is using an egg crate and tying the fan to it. Is that a Noctua? Somehow I have the same looking one. Where did you get the polycarbonate and how did you cut it?I cut a lid out of polycarbonate and used nylon screws to mount it. Been around 1.5 years and fan is still working fine.

This is beyond my capabilities and the phillip screwdriver I have as tool.Tap plastics scrap bin - $1-2 a sheet usually.
Used a jigsaw and then a router.
Yes, it’s a Noctua IP67 fan.
