Not sure. It says an extra thick gel. Not sure why that can't be any gel glue.

I think it will do two things, let you use all the glue in a tube, sometimes I achieve that sometimes not, and also it may be a less likely way to wind up with glue all over your fingers?

I saw the demo for their glue gun at RAP and the tip is metal so you can burn the inevitable dried glue off.
