So is this true that Kessil A360x only works with continuous WiFi?
“• The Apex must be connected to the local network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.” (OK)
“• The Kessil LED lights which will be directly controlled by the Apex must be
connected over Wi-Fi to the same network as the Apex.” (What? I thought I checked this out thoroughly before purchasing awhile back.)

I saw a couple member posts from 2021-22 but thought it had changed since then.

All right. I guess I learned this from email correspondence with Kessil a few years ago but forgot, which is why I got a spectral controller with the lights.
Anybody use Kessil—X lights with WiFi dongle + Apex and can tell me what happens when your WiFi goes down?

When I ran the 360s as supplemental lights I had them set up the same way as @Darkxerox . No interruption in lighting schedule after an outtage and automatically reconnected.

Supposedly my Apex is banned from Wifi but reliable source told me ethernet should be okay, so that is what I was planning on. I could always plead my case for wifi. Will check out the spectral controller more tonight and possibly order the dongle. Our wifi is usually flaky and drops out often, but it sounds like it could still work. I appreciate the input.

Sometimes the controller is goofy though when you try and use the app and have to re-add it. Not super responsive but at least you can set it and forget it.
