I saw in tank journals at least a couple of you do. Has it happened to you that your sump or ATO reservoir was low and the LLS alerted you? Is that its main purpose? I have the new leak detector, and the old type saved me twice, but neither time involved sump or reservoir issue.

Quite a while ago, I experimented with the underlying technology.
Used the "eTape" sensor and an arduino.
It was not bad for pure water, especially if it had no ripples and was relatively stable.
Salt deposits were a real problem, as were waves from powerheads.

I ended up using a bunch of simple float switches instead.
Apex has a handy IO board to connect those.

I use mine to let me know when to refill the ATO. I still check it visually but it’s nice to get the reminder.
