Brute trash can dollies

Hi all,

I'm planning on getting some dollies for my 44 gallon Brute trash cans. I'm a bit concerned how well they will hold up under 440 lbs of water, so I was wondering if anyone has been using them for a while, and if they've had any issues with them breaking under the strain.

Let me know, thanks in advance!
Mike

I seem to recall someone who put a can on some wheels, it'd left depressions in the floor along where it was rolled, seem to recall the floor was made of concrete too!

???? Serio? Yikes, I'll have to think twice then. I wanted to get the wheels so I could roll the bin from the patio to the living room. I have a tile floor, much less resilient than concrete!

I have had the wheels on my 44g for over a year and move it around a lot full with NSW. So far no problems at all but I only move it from the garage to the patio on concrete, not over a wood floor or tiles.

thanks guys. I actually thought about it, and I probably won't move all 44g over the tiles. I'll probably be transporting 15-20 gallons. That should be ok I hope.

I think they are not techincally weighted for the 44g cans full of water (think it is 300lbs). I decided to go with a 32G can for just this reason.

I think as long as the wheels are clean, you should be fine on hardwood. I used it to carry much heavier stuff and had no problem. The floor in my house is Oak though. I'm not too sure about softer wood.

Remember to make sure the wheels are very clean...

Thanks guys. I have tile floors, which will probably crack before a divot forms. Nonetheless, I don't expect to carry more than 20 gallons for water across the floor.

I was wrong the max capacity listed for the dolly is 250 lbs
